FAR-FETCHED.(Part One)

Here's a serial story:)Try to figure out which books inspired this and post it in the comments section!

It was a bright sunny morning when two shadows began to seat themselves down on the beach chairs at St Pete Beach, in Florida.
"Have the test subjects been acquired?"
"Yes sir, we have 5 targets."
"Good. have the men been deployed yet?"
"Yes sir, they are on the way"
"So I presume we are ready to go live?"
"Indeed sir"
And after saying this, the man began to leave. Projects like this demanded for time and effort.
Especially if you were working for an aggressive master. He knew the consequences.
Soon, the master was alone in the beach. He had specifically requested the beach authorities to keep the beach closed during his stay on the beach. Even if the smallest baby heard the discussion, he would be ruined. It was easy to convince the authorities. After all, he was a powerful man.
And no one could stop him from completing his mission. Not even the government.
He called himself Mr X.

Here's another of my school assignments...Hope you like it!

LIVE AND LET LIVE

I heard a loud clang and all I could see was darkness. That was the beginning of my life at the zoo. The life of a helpless elephant being held captive. That fateful day was the day I was separated from my family . I fell prey to a sly man's trap and it was the biggest mistake I ever made! Soon, I was brought to a scenic area and I thought that it wouldn't be as bad as I thought, until I saw the bars. It was a cage!
At first, I began to panic. Why would someone cage me? That was until the kind 'zookeeper' arrived to help me get settled in my new home. He emptied a bucket of bananas near my feet while I began to devour the bananas hungrily . From then on, he has always taken care of me like my mother. I have never forgotten my family and wish to return to them someday. I remember the days when we used to roam the forests, free from the threat of the humans. But now, I have to entertain the human and their arrogance.
I dream that one day , the humans will realise their mistakes and set us animals free. As some human rightly said , live and let live. Together, animals and humans can make this Earth a better place.

At our school, we're given Creative Writing assignments...Here's one of them!

A LIFETIME TO FLOWER...OR NOT!

Ooh..  it's quite windy today! Oh, hello there! I'm a tree, and no, trees don't have individual identities! Anyway, I began my life as a tiny seed, no bigger than a. . .  Gulmohar seed? But I am a Gulmohar tree! Which one of those script-writing climbers messed up my lines? Never mind that , I was planted in Gir National Park, by a monkey that I am forever indebted to. That faithful day , the monkey helped a tree scatter its seeds , and that is how I came to be! However, I spent many years waiting to become the tree that I am today.
During my lifetime, I have come across many animals and humans, with many personalities. Some of them have been kind, while others have done things I wish not to talk about. Humans, especially , have displayed a variety of feelings, emotions and thoughts. Speaking of thoughts, the humans showcase a medley! They are aware of the danger caused to my kind . They even plant trees to raise awareness and maintain the balance! Sadly , the only reason for it is to stop their friends from cutting trees. It is pitiful that the same species argues amongst itself!
Nowadays, being planted into the soil on this Earth is a death sentence for each sapling . Sometimes, I wonder what makes the human beings carry out this massacre. What wrong did we ever do to them? Trees have been given a lifetime to flower. Is it even possible in today's world for a tree to do so? All we can hope for is a better tomorrow.

I'd like to thank my cousin sister for inspiring me to write and create a blog:)

IT SEEMS LIKE ONLY YESTERDAY

It seems like only yesterday
The land was abloom,
The trees basked in the sun
Having no thought of doom.

It seems like only yesterday
The animals roamed the land,
Unaware of the threat about
To pose their motherland.

And then man arrived
And put himself in charge,
Deaf to the cries of Mother Earth
Made changes small and large.

Poor mother Earth waited,
Hoping to see some sort of evolution.
In return she got polluted,
Which caused her lot of depression.

Save mother Earth is all we cry,
With no effort put to make it of use.
Projects have been started in effort to help,
But abandoned with an excuse.

BUT THE QUESTION IS, DO YOU REALLY CARE?

I decided to try a new form of writing poems-Haiku.

Here's my shot at it... hope you like it!

HAIKU
- Anjali Vinodh

tall trees-
the green leaves sway
with the wind

heavy mist
the mountains remain
a faint figure

autumn path:
droopy trees and
dried leaves

springtime
a single shrub
among the tall trees
