An Uncertain Road
A cloud of smoke surrounded me once
I knew not where to tread
Found myself on an abandoned path
No clue of where it lead
Along the never-ending trail I learnt
Lay no riches or gold
Alas, cried I, when all that was seen
Merely a fork in the road
And so headed off this dreary track,
I soon found my way
Left my path blinded by deceit
But returned to the light of day
